Job description

Posting Title: Anaesthesia Industry: Hospital Salary: ₹200,000 to ₹250,000 LPM Work Experience: 4–5+ years Responsibilities:

  • Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures, including complex and emergency cases.
  • Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations to assess patient medical history, physical condition, and risk factors.
  • Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans tailored to patient needs and surgical requirements.
  • Monitor vital signs and physiological parameters throughout anesthesia administration and intraoperative procedures.
  • Manage acute and chronic pain through advanced pain management techniques, including epidural analgesia, nerve blocks, and multimodal analgesia.
  • Respond promptly to intraoperative emergencies, including hemodynamic instability, airway compromise, and anesthetic complications.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless perioperative coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide post-anesthesia care, including pain assessment, recovery monitoring, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all anesthesia-related procedures and patient interactions.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and hospital safety protocols.
  • Mentor and support junior anesthesia staff, residents, and medical students in clinical and educational settings. Requirements:
  • MBBS degree with postgraduate qualification in Anaesthesiology (MD/DM in Anaesthesia) from a recognized medical institution.
  • Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (or equivalent) and a recognized license to practice.
  • Minimum of 4–5 years of hands-on clinical experience in hospital-based anesthesia services.
  • Proven expertise in operating theater (OT) anesthesia management, including high-risk and emergency cases.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in pain management, including acute pain services, chronic pain interventions, and pain clinic protocols.
  • Proficiency in advanced airway management, invasive monitoring, and critical care support.
  • Strong understanding of anesthesia equipment, pharmacology, and anesthesia safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development, evidence-based practice, and patient safety.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and hospital information systems.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
