Advocates, Inc. is seeking a Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to work with a young lady with a developmental disability. She and her family are looking for a Mentor to assist her with working on her goals, both at home and in her community. Goals include: Being involved in community life – participating in activities of interest Increasing independent living skills – shopping, money management, taking care of personal items Improving / maintaining communication skills – engaging with others, using complete sentences The ideal candidate is caring, reliable, and engaging. Related experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check with be conducted prior to hiring. DSP must have a valid email address. Hours and days of work available: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays: (2:15pm - 6:00pm) Pay rate: $26/hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16/hour.
