Senior Software Engineer

São Paulo, BrazilFull-timePosted Jun 24, 2026

Job description

As a Senior Software Engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will design, build, and enhance our customer-facing portal and related web experiences, delivering features and improvements that bring direct value to our users. You will focus on the portal’s user interface, responsive interfaces, workflows, and integrations, working closely with the backend and platform teams.

When the product direction includes intelligent features, you will help bring AI-assisted experiences into the portal (for example, integrating AI-powered APIs, copilot-style features, or machine learning–driven insights), with attention to usability, reliability, and performance. You are also expected to use AI-assisted development tools as part of your day-to-day work, responsibly and in line with team standards, to improve productivity, explore solutions, and ship quality code faster.

Key Responsibilities

Gather requirements, design, develop, test, and ship portal features while collaborating in a dynamic and results-driven environment. Lead and contribute to portal development using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript, including component architecture, state management, routing, and integration with REST or GraphQL APIs.

Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., coding assistants, code generation, refactoring, or test suggestions) as part of the engineering workflow, while validating outputs, preserving security and privacy, and following code review and organizational policies. Take an active role in mentoring junior engineers. Make a direct impact on the success of Watch.

Guard as a company. Participate in an on-call rotation approximately once every 2 months. Ideal Candidate Profile 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development, including significant production experience with React. Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES modules, async patterns, typing for scalable user interfaces).

Familiarity with applying AI tools across the software development lifecycle (e.g., for implementation, debugging, documentation, or code reviews), with sound judgment regarding verification, security, and intellectual property. 2–4 years of experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms (e.g., front-end hosting, CDN, serverless APIs, or consuming cloud services from browser-based applications).

3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with infrastructure as code or deployment tools (e.g., Terraform, Serverless, or Ansible) as they relate to environments and releases. Experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL (e.g., understanding data models for portal features or working with backend teams on queries and performance).

Proven track record of building highly automated, cloud-based systems and customer-facing experiences. Desire to contribute to a collaborative engineering culture through mentoring and knowledge sharing. Innovative and passionate mindset, ability to overcome technical challenges in a cooperative environment, commitment to fast delivery, and familiarity with agile software development practices.

Ability to handle ambiguity, communicate well with partner teams, and an empathetic understanding of the customer experience. Proficiency in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for front-end applications (and collaborating on API contracts, when applicable). Passion for building scalable, maintainable code that supports system growth and future readiness.
