Skilled Technician
Job description
We are looking for a talented Skilled Technician to join our Distribution business in Edmonton. will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.
Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level. Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts. Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.

Apprenticeship documentation and certification will be required prior to hire. Education, Licenses, Certifications: This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Ideally 2-3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment Apprentice must have welding experience, mechanical aptitude Apprentice has to be familiar on modular builds for Haul Trucks Monday to Friday – 3:30pm – Midnight
