Boiler Technician

SUMMARY: Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of boilers, hot water systems, electrical troubleshooting and repair. Also requires experience with pumps, associated piping, welding, and soldering.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

& RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for servicing product and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial boiler systems
• Uses a variety of hand tools to diagnose and repair units.
• Uses power tools and computers
• Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customers’ location.
• Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
• Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
• Maintains vehicles by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance service.
• Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
• Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
• Provides technical support to customers.
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
• Be knowledgeable with the products and services offered by LMS and become effective in the sales of those products and services.
• Recognize opportunities and actively promote sales.
• Maintain and submit timesheets and service reports for accounting to ensure prompt and accurate billing.
