Border International is hiring a Mobile Technician in Las Cruces, NM!! The Mobile Technician will use the service vehicle to expand our presence in the assigned territory; create and maintain customer relationships, manage customer tool repair, and calibration needs, and serve as a technical consultant addressing various application challenges.

Responsibilities

Travel throughout your territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit and perform, repair, and calibration needs and provides technical consultation. Combining technical experience with company training, address customer needs and issues including troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and manual tools, pumps, and equipment.

Adhere to company processes, procedures, safety standards, and schedules with respect to daily activities including scheduled repairs and calibrations, and cold-calling to prospective customers. Provide required reporting to the Branch Manager as to schedule updates, tasks completed, market information, and activity reports detailing weekly accomplishments.

Work with the Branch Manager and service team members, and customers to meet the growing day-to-day repair requirements. Strive to meet goals and Key Performance Indicators as outlined by the Branch Manager. Initiate contact with prospective customers to grow new business. Provide support as needed to territory managers for the growth of sales and service opportunities.

Checks tools for safety decals and safe operating features and maintains an accurate schedule and record of maintenance. Demonstrates orientation toward excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications and interactions in a cooperative, positive and professional manner. Completes all necessary paperwork for repairs and calibrations.

Responsible for checking-in inventory to ensure that parts and tools are available for customers. Maintain accurate inventory records, including detailed quarterly inventories of all parts and equipment. Ensure the vehicle conforms to safety standards by following through with scheduled repairs and maintenance. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Clean and valid driver's license, must pass MVR and maintain insurability standards. Must be able to work on Saturdays. The schedule is “On Duty” unless PTO has been requested. High School diploma. 3+ years of hands-on mechanical/technical experience. Self-motivated and driven to succeed. Experience with a proven track record in customer satisfaction.

Excellent technical, communication, organizational, and presentation skills. *** Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 3+ years of hands-on mechanical/technical experience. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required. Must meet and maintain Company insurability requirements. Ability to work Saturdays and maintain regular and reliable attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule.

Ability to work scheduled on-duty periods and remain available as required by operational needs, except during approved time off. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of customer service and satisfaction. Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple service assignments. Ability to professionally represent the Company when interacting with drivers, customers, vendors, and other business partners.
