Patient Access representative - Patient Finance Services (Full-Time)

Glendive Medical Center is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Patient Access Representative (PAR) to join our team at Gabert Clinic. In this role, you'll be one of the first people our patients connect with when seeking care, helping them feel welcomed and supported while making sure registration, scheduling, and insurance information are handled accurately.

What You'll Do

• Welcome patients and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.

• Gather and verify patient information to ensure accurate registration.

• Conduct accurate and thorough patient interviews.

• Answer incoming calls, assist callers, and connect them with the appropriate department or team member.

• Schedule appointments according to provider practices and preferences.

• Contact patients when appointments need to be rescheduled or canceled.

• Verify insurance coverage and collect payments at the point of service.

• Take clear and accurate messages for staff as needed.

• Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding patient appointments.

• Take initiative to gather additional information and help patients, callers, and visitors get the assistance they need.

• Attend required meetings and in-services.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• At least one year of office or clerical experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.

• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
