Job description
Louis Vuitton is seeking a dynamic and dedicated HR Advisor to provide comprehensive HR support and operational excellence across our retail network in the UK, Ireland, and South Africa. This pivotal role partners closely with retail leadership and store teams to foster a high-performance culture, drive employee engagement, and ensure seamless delivery of the HR agenda aligned with Louis Vuitton's core values and luxury standards.
Employee Relations & Operational HR: Provide expert, proactive guidance and coaching to store managers and team managers on complex employee relations matters, performance management, absence management, and disciplinary processes in full compliance with local employment laws. Talent Management & Succession Planning: Partner with retail leadership to identify high-potential talent, support local development plans, and contribute to robust succession planning frameworks across stores in the UK, Ireland, and South Africa.
Performance & Development Coaching: Facilitate performance review cycles, support career development conversations, and collaborate with internal training teams to identify skill gaps and deliver targeted upskilling solutions for retail staff. HR Metrics & Reporting: Monitor, analyse, and report on key HR metrics (such as turnover, absence rates, and headcount stability) to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Culture & Employee Engagement: Drive local and regional employee engagement initiatives, championing Louis Vuitton’s culture, diversity and inclusion commitments, and wellbeing programs to maintain a motivated and inspired retail workforce. HR Projects & Process Optimization: Collaborate on regional and Maison-wide HR initiatives, change management projects, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and digital tools.
Onboarding & Integration Support: Partner closely with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a seamless transition from onboarding to long-term integration, supporting new retail hires during their formative months. Compliance & Local Legislation: Ensure all HR practices, policies, and documentation adhere strictly to current employment legislation across the UK, Ireland, and South Africa.
An experienced HR professional with a proven track record operating as an HR Advisor or Generalist, ideally within luxury retail, fashion, hospitality, or a fast-paced retail environment. Solid, practical knowledge of employment law and employee relations practices within the UK and Ireland (South Africa market experience is a strong advantage).
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills, with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and navigate sensitive situations with discretion and diplomacy. A pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, high-volume retail landscape. Demonstrated experience using HR data and metrics to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
Strong collaborative spirit, comfortable working across multi-country regions and partnering effectively with diverse store populations. Passionate about the luxury sector and deeply aligned with Louis Vuitton's commitment to excellence and client-centric culture.
