Scrub Tech (Surgical Tech)

The Surgical Technician (also known as Operating Room Technician) provides essential support to surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff during surgical procedures. This role is responsible for preparing the operating room, ensuring sterile conditions, and providing the necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment to facilitate safe and efficient surgeries.

The Surgical Technician assists with patient positioning, maintains sterile fields, anticipates surgical team needs, and supports patient safety throughout procedures. Additionally, this role ensures proper handling, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment, adheres to infection control and safety protocols, and contributes to a smooth, coordinated workflow in the operating room.
