S. military contractor, for its Space & Defense Group in Blacksburg, Virginia. The Space & Defense Power & Data team is seeking a senior engineer to design and develop electronic hardware solutions for mission-critical aerospace and defense applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and bills of materials (BOMs). Conduct hardware integration, verification, troubleshooting, and testing. Support technical project planning, including proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and design reviews. Ensure traceability between customer requirements and system requirements.

Develop engineering test requirements and unit-, subsystem-, and system-level test plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Contribute to new technologies, products, and processes that meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.

Requirements

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree. 5+ years of experience developing electronic hardware products and systems. Experience designing hardware products from concept through testing and implementation. Familiarity with circuit design, PCB development, embedded hardware, system integration, or hardware verification.

Compensation

$120,000 to $135,000 per year. Relocation assistance is available.
