
Senior Cloud Engineer
Job description
As a Senior Cloud Engineer , you will be at the forefront of developing and maintaining the infrastructure that powers Snapp's cutting-edge cloud technologies. You will drive the automation and optimization of deployment, scaling, and maintenance processes, ensuring that Snapp’s cloud environment remains scalable, resilient, and up-to-date.
Cloud Infrastructure Automation: Develop and manage infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Helm charts, and Golang to scale and maintain the cloud environment efficiently. Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Apply best practices in Infrastructure-as-Code, automating cloud operations to improve deployment speed and reduce errors.
Innovating with Open-Source Technologies: Investigate and integrate new open-source tools and technologies to enhance cloud capabilities and introduce new features. Issue Resolution & Maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the cloud, ensuring the continued smooth operation of critical components and keeping them up-to-date.
Working with Cutting-Edge Technologies: Work with technologies such as Open. Shift Kubernetes Distribution (OKD), Open. Stack, Ceph, and Kubernetes. Collaboration & Support: Collaborate with other teams, contribute to documentation, and assist developers by providing best practices for deploying and maintaining services on the cloud platform.
Runbook Contributions: Contribute to runbooks and participate in the on-call rotation to ensure system reliability. Monitoring & Alerting: Work with advanced monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of cloud services. Cloud Technologies Expertise: Strong experience with Linux , networking , and Open.
Stack , Ceph , including deploying, configuring, and managing clusters. Experience with Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of Kubernetes , OKD , and familiarity with Git. Ops methodologies. Programming Skills: Familiarity with Programming (preferably Golang): experience with writing k8s controllers/operators and Prometheus exporters.
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible is a plus. Problem Solving: A sharp analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot, identify root causes, and resolve complex issues within the cloud infrastructure. Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team, support users, and help build new cloud features.
Adaptability & Learning: Quick to learn new technologies and tools, staying ahead of the curve to drive improvements in cloud services.
