Position Summary

Thompson Pipe Group is currently looking for a General Laborer / Groundskeeper for our Palatka, FL facility. This position is responsible for maintaining the plant grounds and assisting with general labor duties throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable working outdoors, and willing to assist wherever needed to help keep the facility clean, organized, and operating safely.

Essential Duties

& Responsibilities Maintain plant grounds, outdoor areas, walkways, and common areas. Perform general landscaping and groundskeeping duties, including mowing, weed removal, trimming, and debris removal. Pick up trash and maintain clean and orderly exterior areas. Assist with cleaning and general housekeeping throughout the facility and yard.

Remove or relocate materials, debris, and other items as directed. Assist production, maintenance, and other departments with general labor tasks as needed. Use basic hand tools and groundskeeping equipment safely. Help maintain clear and safe walkways and work areas. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.

Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or other concerns to supervision. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous general labor, landscaping, groundskeeping, construction, or industrial experience preferred but not required. Ability to safely operate basic hand tools and groundskeeping equipment. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to safety and surroundings.

Must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Physical & Work Environment Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks. Work may be performed outdoors in heat, humidity, rain, dust, and other weather conditions.

Must be comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing environment around noise, machinery, vehicles, and moving equipment. Required PPE must be worn as applicable.
