Patient Services & Rehabilitation Support Specialist
- (Hybrid role of Front Desk & Aide) Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated, personable, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Services & Rehabilitation Support Specialist. This role is essential to delivering an exceptional patient experience by supporting both front office operations and clinical care within our physical therapy clinic. The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, and passionate about helping patients feel welcomed, supported, and cared for throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Experience & Front Desk Operations Greet patients and create a warm, welcoming environment Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently Manage insurance authorizations and collect co-pays Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure all administrative requirements are completed and up to date Maintain professional relationships within the organization and across business functions Support front desk workflow and ensure smooth daily operations Clinical Support Assist physical therapists with patient flow and treatment setup Prepare treatment areas and maintain cleanliness of equipment Guide patients through prescribed exercises (as directed by therapists) Monitor patient progress during sessions and report observations Ensure clinic is organized, safe, and operating efficiently Note: Job responsibilities are subject to change based on the needs of the clinic and business operations.
Qualifications
Interest in physical therapy, healthcare, or patient care Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Previous customer service or healthcare experience is a plus Experience with EMR and scheduling software; experience with Prompt is a plus Proficient computer skills; experience with Microsoft products including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word is a plus Reliable transportation required, with the ability to travel to other clinic locations and complete local errands such as bank deposits Ideal Candidate Traits: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills Knowledge of medical insurance terminology/language Detail-oriented and highly organized Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment Why Join Us: Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a physical therapy setting Supportive team environment focused on growth and development Ideal role for individuals pursuing careers in physical therapy or healthcare M/W 3-8, F 12-6
