And we’re growing... Summary: We are currently seeking a full-time Plant Technical Associate at our Chino facility. The Plant Technical Associate will provide day-day technical and quality leadership to plant Associates in achieving quality and production goals. This individual is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) at the Chino plant.
This position will report to the Chino Plant Manager with dotted line accountability to the Commercial Manufacturing Technical Director. Red. Built is committed to continuous growth and will support this candidate with educational assistance and job-related training.
Essential Functions
Develop, maintain, and ensure conformance to Red. Built Manufacturing Standards. Develop and facilitate quality training programs at the Chino plant. Identify, report, and resolve safety, quality, and production issues. Report product performance and process quality status to business management regularly. Maintain relationships with outside vendors, third-party certification agencies, and internal associates.
Lead the team by resolving technical issues, fostering a quality culture, and ensuring adherence to all quality policies and procedures. Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications): Strong work ethic, good judgment and decision-making skills Drive continuous improvement in Quality practices.
Demonstrated ability to raise performance by building and maintaining positive relationships with all associates through coaching, development and instilling a continuous improvement mindset. Strong background in statistical tools and techniques Maintain accurate records related to inspections, audits, and training. Experience in safety is a plus.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. Wood products experience is a plus. Some form of industrial experience is required. Basic knowledge of OSHA procedures, related standards, and regulations is preferred. Intermediate MS Office (WORD, EXCEL. POWER POINT, & ACCESS) skills preferred. Must have strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly interactive/energetic team environment. Willingness to jump in and take on new assignments and be able to figure out where and who your resources are when you need help. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and follow through on commitments Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment and spend significant time on the production floor.
Ability to network with other professionals and operations in related fields and identify opportunities for improving Red. Built. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong business writing and presentation ability. Must be willing to travel outside the region to support other locations or for training, on occasion.
Works well with little supervision and manages their time well. Self-starter with an innovative approach to improving plant quality practices and programs.
