Job description
The Head Waiter is responsible for supervising the front-of-house service team and ensuring exceptional dining experiences through professional, efficient, and personalized customer service. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager or Food & Beverage Supervisor, the Head Waiter coordinates daily restaurant operations, oversees waitstaff performance, maintains service standards, and ensures smooth communication between the dining area and kitchen.
The role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle guest concerns while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality establishment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or Head Waiter role. GCC experience is mandatory. Preferably available immediately and currently in Oman. High school diploma or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related field is preferred.
Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area, English is a must. Availability on nights, weekends and holidays is also usually required if necessary or according to the business needs.
