American Kids Sports Center, located in Bakersfield, California, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Competitive Team Head Coach to join our dynamic team. As a leading sports center in the region, we are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children to develop their skills, build confidence, and achieve their athletic goals.

What you'll do

Lead and supervise the competitive gymnastics teams, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture. Design and implement training programs that align with individual athlete needs and team objectives. Conduct regular team practices, focusing on skill development, technique refinement, and routine preparation. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, encouraging their growth and progress.

Collaborate with assistant coaches and other staff members to ensure a coordinated approach to training and competition. Coordinate and oversee team participation in local, regional, and national gymnastics competitions. Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed about team activities, progress, and performance expectations.

Uphold the highest standards of safety, adhering to all relevant guidelines and protocols. Describe the specific responsibilities and job functions of the role Qualifications Minimum of 3 years as a Gymnastics Team Head Coach within a highly regarded program. Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques, skills, and routines across various levels.

Proven track record of developing athletes and achieving competitive success. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with athletes, parents, and staff. Ability to create a positive and motivating training environment that fosters teamwork, discipline, and respect. Up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in gymnastics coaching.

USAG certification is required.
