• Hillsborough, CA, Position Type: Seasonal, Education Level: Not Specified, Salary Range: $26.00 - $65.00Hourly, Travel Percentage: Negligible, Job Category: Education, 2026 UPPER SCHOOL (US) ATHLETIC COACHING JOB DESCRIPTION/POSTING Job Opening 2 Upper School Assistant Coaches for Girl’s Tennis (Fall Season- August through November) Job Summary Looking to fill two positions that are responsible for coaching student-athlete/team strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition and to help them develop important life skills. The positions are head coach of the JV and assistant coach for the varsity.

Responsibilities include

Coach and instruct players, individually or in groups, regarding the sport's rules, regulations, equipment, techniques, and tactics. Observe players during practice and competition to determine individual or team improvement needs. Determine game strategy based on the individual and team’s capabilities. Establish and maintain high standards of behavior and supervise athletes at all times.

Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury. Observe school, league, state, regional, and national athletic program regulations. Model positive behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, parents, officials, and spectators – practice good sportsmanship. Employ nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.

Job Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required) Some experience as a tennis coach or club level is preferred. Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills. Must have working knowledge of the sport's rules, regulations, techniques, and strategies. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and student-athletes.

Job Compensation A competitive stipend is available and is commensurate with education and coaching experience/background. :
