Mobile Automotive Service Technician

Ford Mobile Automotive Service Technician Job Description: Lakeland Auto Mall is looking for a qualified individual for our mobile automotive technician position. The mobile technician is responsible for performing maintenance, minor vehicle repairs and recalls at a customer’s home or place of business. This position includes guaranteed hours AND a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates!

Job Responsibilities

Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform minor repairs if authorized by customer Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by customer Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required Road-test vehicles to check work performed if needed Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order using the concern, cause and correction format Ensure that customer vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins Attend factory sponsored training classes Understand and follow federal, state and locate regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the company’s vision, mission and values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards Follow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals Qualifications: Must meet company's requirements for employment Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information General mechanical skills Must have a valid drivers license Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles Professional appearance Manual dexterity, good judgment and ability to operate power and hand tools and other types of machinery safely ASE certification (preferred) Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Exposure to inclement weather Ability to operate an automobile Prolonged periods of standing, stooping and bending Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and or pulling of arm or leg controls, or requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and /or pulling of materials Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent Must have technical aptitude displayed by ASE certification or successful completion of pre-employment test Technical or trade school degree preferred Compensation: Competitive Salary Guaranteed hours plus a Sign- on bonus for qualified candidates Paid time off Longevity bonuses 401(k) program Medical & Dental Plan Student Loan reimbursement for qualified candidates Employee vehicle purchase program Advancement opportunities.
