QA Automation Engineer

QA Automation Engineer – Madrid | Hybrid We're hiring a QA Automation Engineer to join the Investment Risk IT team of a leading global asset management firm in Madrid. You'll help shape the quality culture of their risk platforms, combining thoughtful manual testing with pragmatic automation. It's a team that values ownership, curiosity and clear communication, and where quality is built in from day one, not added at the end.

What you'll do

Design and run manual tests across frontend, API and database layers, focusing on edge cases and business risks Build and maintain automated tests with Cucumber and Serenity BDD Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) for fast, reliable feedback Support performance and load testing Report quality status clearly using Allure Work closely with developers, BAs and product owners, and propose improvements to QA practices and tooling What we're looking for Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar 3+ years in QA, with solid experience in both manual testing and test automation Experience with Serenity BDD, Cucumber and/or Gatling Hands-on with Git, Jenkins and Gradle REST API and web services testing experience Agile/Scrum background Fluent English; German is a plus Comfortable using AI tools responsibly to boost productivity Nice to have Experience in finance, investment risk or asset management ISTQB certification What's on offer Full-time role in a global, industry-leading company Hybrid working model Flexible benefits package (healthcare, retirement plan and more) Inclusive, collaborative culture with real room to grow Interested?
