Substitute Teacher 2026-2027

Job Description: We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate Substitute Teachers to join our District. This position is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic professional who is looking to make a significant impact on students' lives while also enhancing their teaching skills.

Responsibilities

Implement lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience. Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.

Maintain accurate student attendance records and grades. Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students. Communicate effectively with parents and school administration about student progress and behavior. Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.

Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage classroom and handle any issues that arise. Strong organizational and planning skills. Ability to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Certifications: Valid Substitute Teacher Certification or Texas Teacher Certification (preferred) We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about education and the future of our students.
