Campus Dining & Event Services Cashier SUMMARY: The Campus Dining & Event Services Assistant/Cashier plays an important role in creating a warm, welcoming, and high-quality dining experience for Cleary University students, employees, and guests. This part-time position offers an afternoon schedule and the unique option to take summers off — perfect for someone looking for flexibility and a positive, community-oriented work environment.

In this role, you’ll support daily operations at Clancy’s Café (student dining) and assist with Cleary University events — from campus gatherings to community celebrations — ensuring every guest enjoys great service and a friendly atmosphere.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Set up the student dining room and event spaces, ensuring hospitality and service standards are met or exceeded. Ensure all areas are clean, organized, and maintained to high cleanliness standards throughout shifts. Assist with opening and closing duties, including storing reusable goods, cleaning equipment, and organizing spaces.

Act as a liaison with kitchen staff to maintain proper food service temperatures and replenish food items as needed during events. Adhere to health, safety, and university regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma required; two years of experience in food service operations preferred. Must be available afternoons and early evenings, until 8pm. Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions. Physical ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds and work in a moderately noisy environment.
