Job description Hawaii Heart Associates ( www.hawaiiheartassociates.com) is a rapidly growing cardiology group practice in the State of Hawaii. We provide excellent care with genuine aloha for our patients and their families. We treat our patients like 'ohana. Currently, we are seeking a Per-Diem medical assistant for our Hilo clinic.

Experience is preferred but we also offer on-the-job training to exceptional candidates. Clinical Duties will include and not limited to: Obtain and accurately document patient medical history Obtain and accurately document vital signs: heart rate, oxygen saturation, respiration rate, blood pressure (automated and manual) Complete lab requisitions Prepare/sterilize exam and procedure rooms for patients 12-lead electrocardiograms Placement and monitoring of cardiac event monitors Assist with treadmill diagnostic tests Administrative Job Duties and Responsibilities: Schedule and confirm appointments with clients, their families and industry partners Promptly manage required patient documents (scan and fax) Maintain patient charts with confidentiality, accountable to HIPAA standards Collaborates with providers and operational teams to ensure reports are submitted in a timely and accurate manner Medical specialties: Cardiology Schedule: 6-8 hour shifts Per Diem (as needed) basis Work setting: Clinic In-person Office Outpatient Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience : EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred) Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred) Location: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) License/Certification: BLS Certification (Preferred) Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
