Receiving Agent

Job Details: Level: Entry, Job Location: DGM Atlanta

• Atlanta, GA, Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Travel Percentage: None, Job Purpose: Ensures proper receipt of materials based on supplied paperwork, and maintains inventory of inbound and outbound cargo. Duties: Inventories general cargo according to DGM standards and customer specifications. Verify documentation and contents of cargo upon receipt. Check cargo for damage. Stage cargo in designated area. Locate cargo in appropriate area. Demonstrate safe lifting techniques and adhere to all safety regulations, policies, and guidelines. Ensure all documentation is correct and turned into office personnel in a timely manner. Participate in clean-up activities and ensure good housekeeping skills. Must demonstrate safe decision making in all aspects of work. Consistently at work on time. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-2 years warehouse experience preferred. Skills/Qualifications: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to follow detailed instructions and written procedures. Ability to prioritize work based on safety, quality, and productivity demands.

Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack. Ability to interact with all levels of staff and personnel. Basic computer and math skills. Ability to read, write and speak English language. Read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Working Conditions: Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly for the duration of a shift. Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, and lift cumbersome and/or heavy objects. Ability to work prolonged and/or irregular hours.
