• Malibu, CA, Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Education Level: None, Salary Range: $20.00 - $21.00Hourly, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Any, Job Category: Grocery, Job Summary: The Grocery Clerk/Stocker is responsible for stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring the grocery department remains clean, safe, and customer-friendly. This position plays a key role in providing an excellent shopping experience by keeping products readily available and properly displayed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Stock shelves, displays, coolers, and end caps with merchandise according to company standards. Rotate products using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Check expiration dates and remove damaged, outdated, or unsellable products. Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked aisles.

Assist with unloading trucks and moving merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor. Verify inventory counts and report shortages or discrepancies to management. Build and maintain promotional displays and seasonal merchandising setups. Provide friendly and professional customer service, including assisting customers in locating products.

Follow all safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures. Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and box cutters safely. Assist with store recovery, cleaning, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous retail, grocery, or stocking experience preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout shifts. Work in varying temperatures, including refrigerated and freezer environments.
