• Elgin, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Accounting, Southside Market & BBQ is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented AP Specialist to join our growing accounting team. This role is responsible for accounts payable across multiple business entities while supporting accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. The ideal candidate has hands-on full-cycle AP experience, takes ownership of their work, values accuracy, and is interested in expanding into broader accounting responsibilities over time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage full-cycle accounts payable across multiple entities Process vendor invoices accurately and timely in Ramp and Net. Suite Maintain complete documentation and audit trails Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Manage company credit card activity Process checks and electronic payments Communicate professionally with vendors and internal teams Support month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations Review AP aging and resolve outstanding items Help improve AP processes, controls, and efficiencies Support additional accounting and ad-hoc department needs Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED 3–5+ years of AP or related accounting experience Experience supporting multiple entities or complex organizations Beginner to intermediate Excel skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Organized and consistent with financial documentation Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Strong communication and problem-solving skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Additional accounting coursework or professional training Net.
