Chief Financial Officer

Chief Financial Officer Solanco School District � Quarryville, Pennsylvania Solanco School District is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and forward-thinking financial leader to serve as its next Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Reporting directly to the Superintendent, the CFO will serve as the District's senior financial executive, providing leadership in budgeting, long-range financial planning, capital planning, debt management, financial reporting, internal controls, audit oversight, and Board financial communication.

A Unique Leadership Opportunity The successful candidate will work side-by-side with Solanco's current CFO for an extended transition period of at least one year, providing meaningful time for knowledge transfer, relationship building, and continuity. The current CFO is expected to retire July 1, 2028, and Solanco prefers the successful candidate to begin as soon as practicable following selection.

This deliberate transition will allow the incoming CFO to gradually assume responsibility while gaining a thorough understanding of the District's financial systems, operations, professional relationships, and long-term priorities. Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or related field
• Progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, governmental administration, or school business operations
• Leadership and supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, auditing, forecasting, and internal controls
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills Preferred
• Pennsylvania public school finance experience
• Master's degree
• Experience with capital planning, debt financing, construction projects, and Board presentations Compensation Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
