Automotive Detail Porter / Light Detailer – Mc. Grath Chevyland Location: Cedar Rapids, IA 🕒 Schedule: Full-Time About the Opportunity Mc. Grath Chevyland is seeking a reliable and motivated Automotive Detail Porter / Light Detailer to support our busy detail department. This role is essential to maintaining efficient vehicle flow while helping keep daily detail operations running smoothly.

Detail Porters play a key role in the success of the department by assisting with vehicle movement, staging, and supporting the detail team. You'll also gain hands-on experience performing light vehicle detailing while learning proper detailing techniques and processes from experienced team members. This is an entry-level role designed with career growth in mind.

As you build your detailing skills, demonstrate reliability, and learn the department's processes, there are opportunities to advance into a Full Detailer position or develop toward a Detail Advisor role. It's a great opportunity to get your foot in the door, gain hands-on automotive experience, and build a long-term career with Mc.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and team-first attitude

• Willingness to learn and develop automotive detailing skills
• Willingness to assist coworkers and follow direction
• Attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
• Ability to safely operate and move a variety of vehicles
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record What You'll Do
• Pick up and deliver vehicles throughout Mc. Grath Chevyland and nearby dealership locations
• Assist with vehicle flow, staging, and organization within the detail department
• Perform light vehicle detailing, including washing, vacuuming, window cleaning, and preparing vehicles for delivery and display
• Learn proper automotive detailing techniques and processes from experienced team members
• Support Detail Technicians with vehicle preparation and department tasks
• Ensure vehicles are handled carefully and moved efficiently throughout the dealership
