Expression of Interest Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander School-Based Traineeships with the NSW Government Are you currently in Year 10 and moving into Year 11 in 2027? Over two years you'll: Earn a wage while you learn Complete a Certificate III in Business that may contribute towards your HSC Gain real workplace experience Build valuable skills for future jobs Make professional connections and learn from experienced mentors Strengthen your résumé before leaving school About the Opportunity As a trainee at Department of Customer Service in the Government Shared Services team, you will learn how businesses keep track of money that is owed to them and support the finance team with day-to-day tasks.

You will: Check and manage team emails and help respond to customer enquiries. Help keep customer account information up to date. Check records to make sure payments and account balances are accurate. Assist with answering questions from customers about their accounts. Support the team in following up outstanding payments from customers.

Maintain accurate records and organise financial information. Use computer systems and software to enter and update information. Build skills and knowledge in finance, administration and customer service. Work as part of a team to help ensure accounts are managed efficiently.
