Team Leader (TB)

Sun Community Health (“SCH”) is a non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian organization. It is a local non-governmental organization in Myanmar and is established in particular to advance socially beneficial purposes in Myanmar by promoting and providing information, services and products related to the prevention, promotion, curation and rehabilitation of the major health services including but not limited to HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, maternal and child health, reproductive health and non-communicable diseases with the aim of furthering good health, prosperity and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness.

This also includes state-of-art training programs, quality assurance programs, and a robust supply chain and logistics system and health financing mechanisms. The Organization may also provide non-health related ancillary services that ensure and improve the well-being of its clientele. SCH is practicing the right to freedom from all forms of sexual violence, injustice, discrimination and abuse (including child and adult at-risk abuse).

We recognize the responsibility we have to guarantee on that we do not deliberately or inadvertently cause any harms to right holders and communities through our work – whether that is our staff and representatives of our contractor (internal and external stakeholders). Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct, that enshrines principles of PSEA, at all times (both during work hours and outside work hours). Familiarization with, and adherence to, the Code of Conduct is an essential requirement of all staff, in addition to related mandatory training.

All staff must ensure that they understand and act in accordance with this clause. OVERALL SUMMARY: Sun Community Health (SCH) is supporting the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) to strengthen active tuberculosis case finding (ACF) through mobile team interventions. The Team Leader will provide technical and operational leadership to ensure the effective planning, implementation, supervision, and monitoring of ACF activities in accordance with NTP guidelines.

This position will be under Service Agreement Contract with up to December 2026 and Possible Extension. Required position is 1 and assigned area will be Mandalay . Sun Community Health is seeking Team Leader to engage in TB Control activities by:

1. Co-operate with Sun Providers, health and local administrative authorities and SCH implementation team for planning, implementation, training, management and supervision of TB control activities.
2. Ensure to operate TB team activities in accordance with work plan and to achieve the targeted number of assigned projects.
3. Provide TB services according to guidelines and in line with project objective.
4. Supervise team members during field operation.
5. Take financial accountability and responsibility for team’s activities according to organization rules and regulations.
6. Provide project consumption of necessary stocks as per schedules in monthly basis and report to respective supervisor.
7. Analyze data regularly and take timely, corrective actions.
8. Review, check data and submit reports timely to respective units and supervisors by using standardized format.
9. Organize quarterly review meetings in respective project township and participate in the project review meetings if necessary.
10. Regular monitoring/supportive visit to all assigned Sun clinics in assigned area to distribute social franchising products, to deliver new updated forms, to collect MCRs, financial transaction of provider’s incentive payment, Clinic assistance fees and client’s incentive.
11. Assist Sun providers to meet social franchising and clinical practice minimum criteria
12. Conducting advocacy, area mapping, & clinic auditing for new recruitment for channels in the assigned territory
13. Responsible for disseminating technical updates and changes to Sun providers in assigned territory
14. Perform any other additional duties as required. Deliverables
15. Provide TB prevention, control and treatment in assigned areas.
16. Manage and supervise the team.
17. Coordinate among the stakeholders such as Sun providers, Community providers, CXR, Labs, local health authorities and SCH team for implementation.
18. Achieve the program deliverables and target in the assigned region. Term of Agreement: The Contractor will receive the basic daily service payment upon submission of a complete Daily Work Report to the respective Supervisor and payment will be made within 30 days after SCH receives and accepts the report. In addition, the Contractor may be eligible for a performance-based payment, which will be determined based on the verification of achievements against the Monthly or Quarterly Performance Indicator Report and the appraisal and approval of the respective Supervisor. Must hold M.B., B.S and valid medical license.
