Job description

Posting Title: Pediatrician Industry: Hospital Salary: ₹ 250,000 to ₹ 250,000 LPM Work Experience: 2 years Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for pediatric patients across all age groups, from newborns to adolescents.
  • Manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions in the OPD, including respiratory infections, gastrointestinal disorders, developmental delays, and chronic illnesses.
  • Deliver emergency pediatric care in high-pressure situations, including trauma, poisoning, severe infections, and acute respiratory distress.
  • Provide specialized care in the NICU for premature and critically ill newborns, including monitoring, resuscitation, and coordination with neonatal specialists.
  • Lead and participate in critical care management within the PICU, including ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and management of multi-organ failure.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neonatologists, pediatric surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory documentation standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response protocols as required.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and hospital-wide pediatric health programs.
  • Mentor junior medical staff and medical students in clinical settings. Requirements:
  • MBBS degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics (MD/DM Pediatrics) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience in pediatric care, with demonstrated expertise in emergency medicine, NICU, and PICU settings.
  • Valid and active medical registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or equivalent regulatory body.
  • Proven experience in managing neonatal and pediatric emergencies, including resuscitation (NRP certification preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in pediatric intensive care protocols, including mechanical ventilation, sedation, and hemodynamic support.
  • Excellent diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with children and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced, high-stakes clinical environments.
  • Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS) and electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical medical standards.
