Primary Care Physician - Cantonese/Mandarin/Spanish

Astrana Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our growing outpatient clinic in Alhambra, CA and Whittier, CA. This role is ideal for a physician passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with a strong focus on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and value-based care.

Astrana. Care is a multi-specialty medical that provides comprehensive primary medical care to our patients out of multiple clinic locations in the San Gabriel Valley, Orange County, and Inland Empire. We are actively hiring for our Whittier/Alhambra locations. Chinese or Spanish-speaking physicians and those with geriatric experience are strongly preferred!

Our Values: Put Patients First Empower Entrepreneurial Provider and Care Teams Operate with Integrity & Excellence Be Innovative Work As One Team Provide and manage comprehensive primary care services, including: Physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, counseling, and treatment Preventive care visits, wellness exams, and age-appropriate screenings Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, heart disease, and other common adult medical conditions Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practices Develop individualized, evidence-based care plans in collaboration with patients and families Maintain a continuity panel of patients with appropriate follow-up and long-term care planning Collect, review, and maintain complete and accurate patient medical records in the EHR Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging Coordinate care with specialists, behavioral health providers, and ancillary services Direct and collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including HCC, 5-Star, and other incentive-based programs Advocate for patients within the healthcare system to support cost-effective, coordinated care Recommend workflow and operational improvements to enhance clinical efficiency, documentation, and patient experience Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics, professionalism, and patient confidentiality Other duties as assigned.

MD or DO from an accredited medical school Able to provide care in Spanish or Chinese Completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency program Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Active, unrestricted California Medical License Active DEA registration Current BLS and ACLS certifications At least 1 year of outpatient primary care experience (New graduates will be considered) You're great for this role if you have: Chinese or Spanish-speaking ability (medical Spanish/Chinese strongly preferred) Geriatric care experience Experience in value-based care, community health, or managed care environments Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills Passion for serving diverse and underserved populations This is a full-time position.

Your schedule would be comprised of 5 8-hour shifts between M-F. Consideration can be made for part-time employment. Our national target pay range for this role is $280K - $300K per year. Sign-on and retention bonus may be part of the compensation package. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
