Job description
The Cashier performs all register transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with Forman Mills policies and procedures. Provides a Courteous, Fast and Friendly check out to all customers entering and leaving Forman Mills.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintaining a clean and tidy checkout area. • Responsible for meeting or exceeding a fast and friendly customer checkout • Ensure outstanding customer service by greeting, assisting and thanking each customer in a positive approachable manner. • Ensures all customer transactions are handled in a timely professional manner • Present a positive image towards all team members, customers and the community. • Responsible for accurately scanning all merchandise to prevent any inventory adjustments • Responsible to handle all cash transaction and providing accurate change. • Responsible to handle all media transaction including credit and debit accurately as to Forman Mills card acceptance guidelines. • Cashier is and will be held fully accountable for all cash management/handling processes including over/shorts, counterfeit money and all Forman Mills Register Transactions on their dedicated register.
Performs additional tasks when needed outside the front-end area to include: • Salesfloor recovery • Merchandising/ stocking • Markdowns • Hanging and processing new merchandise • Help deter theft by reporting all dishonest behavior to management and/ or Loss Prevention department
