FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION JOB TITLE: SUBSTITUTE TEACHER POSITION TYPE: PART TIME / AS NEEDED / CLASSIFIED REPORTS TO: BUILDING PRINCIPAL EVALUATED BY: Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent EMPLOYEE EVALUATED ANNUALLY The purpose of the Substitute Teacher is to ensure that in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, students continue to receive a quality education.

→ Provide students with an education in a safe and orderly environment → Carry out the classroom teachers lessons to the extent possible → Communicate with the building administrator → Treat all students with respect → Keep assignments and attendance records → Be familiar with emergency plans, fire exits and severe weather procedures → Arrive to the classroom at least 15 minutes prior to the children arriving → Have a minimum of a high school diploma → Possess a valid Indiana Substitute Permit → Have the empathy, compassion and skills to effectively work with all students → Complete a satisfactory interview with the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
