Job Title: Field Service Mechanic Department: Rochester Service Department Location: Albany, New York Reports To: Service Manager Job Overview: The Service & Repair Mechanic performs hands-on technical services for a wide variety of pumps, controls, and other types of rotating equipment.
This position requires a motivated professional with a high degree of technical aptitude to provide both in-shop and field service to support Industrial and Municipal customers throughout upstate NY. Essential characteristics include good communication skills, customer service skills, teamwork, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and flexibility for reasonable travel.
Our most successful Field Service Mechanics: High school education. Mechanical and/or electrical background required Mechanical background required Comfortable working with residential or municipal customers is a plus Reasonable experience & proficiency with mobile devices and computers Minimum 2 years of pump or other rotating equipment maintenance & repair experience preferred 240VT Electrical experience is a plus Machining experience is a plus Effective verbal & written communication skills Complete company-paid factory training Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
