Description The Role The Logistics Task Force Lead is the logistics strategy and execution lead for the Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) Task Force, helping resolve the most significant part-availability issues affecting customers. This high-visibility role translates task force priorities into practical logistics plans, identifies risks to critical parts, coordinates cross-functional recovery actions, and drives expedited movement of individual parts when needed. The work has a direct connection to vehicle availability, customer experience, service parts cases, buybacks, and business results. What You’ll Do Translate task force priorities into logistics strategy, operational plans, and an execution cadence for critical-part recovery. Review critical parts, shortages, open risks, and active expedites; prioritize issues based on vehicle, customer, and business impact. Coordinate recovery actions across task force leadership, CCA, supply chain, materials management, plant operations, manufacturing, suppliers, purchasing, transportation, logistics, warehousing, and freight or expedite providers. Drive the expediting of individual parts when required, including arranging or managing expedited movement and coordinating the actions needed to recover availability. Evaluate expedite decisions with Finance and other business partners when customer impact, SPAC exposure, buyback risk, or business tradeoffs are involved. Follow up on commitments, remove roadblocks, establish clear ownership, and drive actions to closure by committed dates. Communicate status, risks, recommendations, and recovery progress to CCA leadership, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional partners. Analyze recurring issues, identify root causes and patterns, and standardize recovery actions to prevent repeat problems. Improve logistics prioritization, visibility, escalation routines, and reporting of actions and results. Support additional CCA logistics initiatives and strategy improvements while delivering measurable progress in critical-part recovery, service parts cases, and buyback prevention.
