A Day in the Life

of a Small Engine Road Service Technician As a Small Engine Road Service Technician , you play a key role in keeping our customers’ equipment running and minimizing downtime when they need us most. You’ll travel to customer locations to diagnose, repair, and maintain small agricultural and turf equipment in the field.

One stop may involve troubleshooting an engine issue, while the next may be preventative maintenance or an urgent repair to get a customer back up and running. This is a role for someone who enjoys independence, hands-on problem solving, and taking pride in fixing things the right way. You’ll work independently in the field but always with the support of a team behind you.

Every day is different, but the goal is always the same: do the job right and take care of the customer. What You’ll Do As a Small Engine Road Service Technician , you will: diagnose, repair, and maintain small agricultural and turf equipment at customer locations perform advanced mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs respond to service calls efficiently to minimize customer downtime communicate clearly with customers about repairs, recommendations, and timelines maintain service vehicle, tools, parts inventory, and equipment in clean working order complete work orders, reports, and documentation accurately and on time participate in training programs to continue developing technical skills follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment What You Bring You’ll be a great fit for this Small Engine Road Service Technician role if you: enjoy hands-on work and solving mechanical problems independently take pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail communicate well with customers and teammates stay organized and self-motivated while working in the field care about doing the job right the first time enjoy variety and working in different environments each day What You Need to be a Land.

Pro Small Engine Road Service Technician: 3+ years of experience performing equipment service repairs strong mechanical aptitude with experience diagnosing and repairing small engines knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostics basic computer skills and ability to complete digital work orders ability to lift 75 lbs.

repeatedly valid driver’s license with a clean driving record ability to provide your own tools for the role It’s a plus if you have: experience with John Deere, turf, or agricultural equipment previous road service or mobile technician experience experience using Service Advisor or similar diagnostic software ability to mentor or train technician trainees What We Offer At Land.
