Steelheads Tacklebox - Retail Merchandise Associate

As a Retail Associate at the Tacklebox, you’ll provide exceptional customer service, support merchandise operations, and ensure smooth retail transactions during daily shifts and event-based sales.

Job Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor and at the point of sale (POS). Operate the cash register, accurately handle all forms of payment, and reconcile transactions. Greet customers, offer assistance, and guide purchasing decisions based on customer needs. Maintain and control merchandise inventory and stock presentation.

Set up and tear down retail locations for events, including merchandise and fixtures. Support visual merchandising standards through general upkeep and display maintenance. Assist team members to ensure efficient transactions and high levels of customer satisfaction. Follow company procedures for opening, operating, and closing the retail location.

Take direction from supervisors and complete tasks thoroughly and promptly. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior retail, sales, or cash-handling experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Professional, friendly, and customer-focused demeanor. Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Must demonstrate a high level of motivation and consistent energy throughout shifts.

Comfortable working toward and meeting sales goals. Must be available to work 75% of the Idaho Steelheads games on the schedule. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and move frequently throughout the shift. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
