This role manages the financial close process, prepares journal entries and reconciliations, analyzes results, and provides timely reporting that helps leaders understand business performance. The ideal candidate has solid accounting fundamentals, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset. What You'll Do

Accounting & Close Manage daily cash management, including monitoring cash positions and forecasting cash flows. Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts and identify significant changes in cash needs or activity. Support banking activities, cash transfers, and related treasury processes while maintaining appropriate controls Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analyses in support of the monthly close process.

Serve as the key accounting partner for other functional areas. Review financial activity for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with company accounting policies. Research variances, investigate unusual activity, and recommend corrective actions when needed. Other duties as assigned by manager. Business Partnership & Analysis Translate accounting and financial information into clear insights for business partners and management.

Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting activities for assigned business units. Support decision-making through thoughtful analysis of financial results and operating performance. Process Improvement & Systems Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting workflows, and close efficiency. Leverage Excel, financial systems, and emerging technology tools to improve accuracy and productivity.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications CPA preferred Familiarity with Power BI, reporting tools, workflow automation, or other finance technology platforms. Interest in using AI and emerging technologies to improve accounting, reporting, and analysis processes. Experience in a private equity environment. Industry Experience Transportation, logistics, or trucking experience is helpful but not required.
