Job description
The City of Norfolk’s Department of Public Works is currently seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator I within our Streets & Bridges Division. This position operates and maintains the City’s asphalt plant; designs, mixes, performs various tests on asphalt blends and ensures operation is in accordance with all Federal, State and local laws.
The Asphalt Plant Operator I also performs major and minor repairs and maintenance on the plant, facility buildings and construction equipment.
