Position Summary

As an integral part of the Care. Portal Training Team, the Care. Portal Training Specialist is responsible for creating a consistent, engaging, and mission-centered learning experience that equips Care. Portal staff and network partners to succeed in their roles. This person leads the coordination and facilitation of new staff onboarding, manages the ongoing development and improvement of Care.

Portal's training curriculum and certification program, and partners across teams to ensure learning resources remain aligned with evolving platform capabilities, organizational priorities, and field best practices. The Training Specialist is passionate about adult learning, excels at facilitating both virtual and in-person learning experiences, and uses data, feedback, and collaboration to continually improve training effectiveness.

Through excellent organization, relationship-building, and a commitment to continuous improvement, this role helps strengthen the knowledge, confidence, and long-term success of the people who advance Care. Portal's mission of mainstreaming Care-Sharing through the local church.

Your Responsibilities

Maintain detailed expertise on Care. Portal functionality, network structure and implementation, role standards, and performance metrics Manage logistics and learning resources of Care. Portal U onboarding curriculum, including regular Presentation Days for staff to give practice presentations Assist with facilitating Care.

Portal Platform Certification review sessions for Implementing Partner teams, as needed Support and collaborate with supervisors on the onboarding and certification journeys of staff and network partners, as needed Proactively collaborate with other teams on learning resources for implementation best practices, manager training, professional and leadership development, and more Manage and improve all LMS courses and their supporting resources, and coordinate necessary changes based on updates to policy and role changes Support the development and implementation of Leadership and Professional Development content and strategies Partner with the Human Resources team to coordinate a consistent and professional experience over the first two days for new staff that sets them up for a clear and effective onboarding experience Establish and monitor objective performance metrics and subjective user feedback on available training content Other duties as assigned Qualifications: What You Bring to the Organization Experience & Skills Committed to following Jesus and mobilizing others to serve His Kingdom Consistent demonstration of Care.
