Requirements

/ Qualifications The job of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist (OT), was established for the purpose/s of utilizing specialized equipment and treatment techniques to facilitate implementation of individual educational programs related to motor and functional skills development.

Experience: Previous work with children; experience working in a variety of settings, including clinic, school, and home; experience working collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and working with families, training others in the appropriate implementation of educational programs related to the development of motor skills.

Education

Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Certificates and Licenses: American Occupational Therapy Association Certification; National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy; CA driver's license and auto insurance.
