LAUNDRY ATTENDANT Job Summary: The laundry attendant is responsible for efficient laundering of linen and clothing, ensuring highest quality of cleanliness and finished product.

Responsibilities

Receiving dirty linen, sorting by degree of soil, colour and type Separating, counting and recording stained and damaged linen Ensuring soiled linen is counted and recorded Weighing and preparing linen for washing Loading washer according to stipulated capacity Ensuring linen is sufficiently extracted for efficient ironing/drying Unloading washer, loads dryer and sets correct temperature Ensuring linen is cooled before removing from dryer Preparing linen for ironing and folding Qualifications: High School Leaving Certificate/Diploma Work Environment: Industrial or factory type environment May be required to work outside normal hours, on weekends and public holidays
