Convenience Store Manager

Job Details: Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $17.00 - $26.00Hourly, Deliver friendly, honest, and focused customer service by being part of the Jack’s Companies team! We do a variety of tasks to keep your day fresh, such as: leading and training the staff, having the ability to increase sales with innovative sales ideas, providing excellent customer service, and management of day to day store operations.

REQUIREMENTS

Responsible for overall store operations/functions Direct supervision over store leadership and store auditor-serve as first point of contact Develop, recruit, interview, hire, lead/supervise, train, and coach store leadership and staff Profit & Loss responsibilities of stores by monitoring monthly financial statements, drive offs, and controllable expenses including labor, inventory levels, and cash and inventory shortages/overages Drive development of team atmosphere with leaders by motivating, encouraging, and challenging them Maintain safety of both our customers and employees Maximize store’s profitability by sales building and maintaining a strong loyal customer base Conduct staff meetings as needed with leadership or store staff Partner with Human Resources in maintaining a relevant training program and staffing decisions for the stores Train store leadership on effective ways to up-sell and educate our customers so they get the most value for their money Assist store leadership to resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner Execute weekly/bi-weekly store visits to ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner thus maintaining a quality brand image Visit and inspect all stores work, storage, and servicing areas to determine that regulations and directions governing Food Service activities are followed including compliance with safety and sanitation, and coordinating new product rollouts amongst stores Work with store leadership to implement and enforce consistent vendor policies and procedures Devise and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure stores are clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept Assist in implementation of monthly/weekly promotions, ensure all POS advertising/signage is properly posted at the proper time Liaison for store auditor to increase profits for individual stores through analyzing data on invoices and use information to train clerks on proper money handling Assist store managers in identifying areas of opportunity in staffing and scheduling of clerks Qualifications: Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; attending vendor shows.

Have the physical ability to perform all duties of a store cashier regularly Able to walk and stand for 100% of shift Ability to travel for visits scheduled away from corporate location Ability to work in heated and/or freezer area Able to lift, carry, or push up to 35 lbs. Previous retail management experience required Valid drivers license Must have flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
