Substitute Teacher Assistant-Eminence/Henry/Oldham/Trimble Head Start

Job Summary

The Substitute Teacher Assistant will assist classroom staff in providing and implementing a developmentally appropriate learning environment with varied experiences, which will enhance the social, physical, emotional, and cognitive development of infant/preschool children. Substitute Teacher Assistants must collaborate with teaching staff to ensure all daily classroom duties are followed as outlined in job description.

Substitute Teacher Assistants may be required to travel to any of the Head Start/Early Head Start/Childcare Partnership locations outside of their home site if needed. Mileage will be reimbursed for any travel outside of your normal round trip daily commute. Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.

Full-Time Substitutes are required to obtain a CDA credential within two years of hire. Experience working with infants, toddlers and pre-school children is desired. Substitute must possess effective communication skills to work with staff, parents, community, and school and other agencies.
