The clinical float pool includes Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), and Medical Assistants (MA), who provide interim coverage of staffing needs on a short-term basis across multiple sites. Float pool staff perform a variety of clinical functions in any of our family practices at multiple sites across Southern New Hampshire.

About the Job

The Medical Assistant performs delegated clinical and administrative functions in the care of patients under the direct supervision of a provider and practice manager. This role supports patient care in person, via telephone, and through telehealth modalities, ensuring adherence to professional standards and state regulations.

What You’ll Do: Support patient care across in-person, phone, and telehealth settings under provider supervision, including patient assessment and care coordination. Administer medications, treatments, immunizations, and point-of-care testing while collecting patient history and communicating findings to providers. Maintain accurate medical record documentation, assist with pre-visit planning, preventive care outreach, and related administrative functions.

Mentor and train staff, uphold safety and compliance standards, and participate in ongoing education and professional development.

Who You Are

/ Requirements: Education: High School diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assisting program and clinical externship required. Licensure/Certification: Current BLS/CPR certification; certification or registration by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT required. Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a clinical medical assistant (3 years preferred).

Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of medical terminology and office workflow. Strong interpersonal communication, time management, and customer service skills. Ability to adapt to change and work as part of a team. Basic computer literacy; Epic EMR experience preferred. Work Shift: First Shift (Start & End times may vary based on assignment) Full-time: 30-40 hours Part-time: 20-29 hours Per Diem: Variable, 1- 2 shifts per month Solution.
