Design Coordinator (Civil / Structural)

Our client, a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a major Sydney Metro project, is seeking experienced Design Coordinators to support the delivery of large-scale station and rail infrastructure works.

About the Role

This role plays a key part in coordinating multidisciplinary design activities across civil and structural packages within a major infrastructure project. You will act as the interface between design consultants, construction teams, and stakeholders to ensure design alignment, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil and structural design activities across multidisciplinary teams
• Act as the key interface between consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Review design documentation to ensure constructability and compliance with specifications
• Facilitate design coordination meetings to resolve technical issues and clashes
• Ensure alignment of design outputs with project delivery requirements
• Coordinate with BIM and digital engineering teams to manage design models and interfaces
• Support integration of civil, structural, architectural, and services design elements
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements Requirements
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline
• Proven experience in a Design Coordinator or similar role
• Experience within infrastructure, rail, or major construction projects highly regarded
• Strong understanding of design coordination and project delivery processes
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve complex design issues
