Flex / On-Call Security Officer

Must have a valid SORA card DSI Security Services | $21.50 per hour We are currently seeking a reliable, professional, and customer-service-oriented Flex / On-Call Security Officer to join our team. This position is ideal for someone looking for a flexible work schedule who can provide coverage as needed for employee call-outs, scheduled vacations, time-off requests, and other staffing needs. Position Details Position Type: Part-Time / Flex / On-Call Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour Available Shifts: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, and 10:00 PM–6:00 AM Schedule: Hours and shifts will vary based on operational needs. No guaranteed weekly hours. Transportation: Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to the assigned site. Licensing: Must possess a valid New Jersey SORA card.

Key Responsibilities

Provide security coverage for employee call-outs, vacations, scheduled time off, and open shifts. Maintain a professional and visible security presence. Conduct routine patrols and monitor assigned areas. Observe and report suspicious activity or safety concerns. Provide courteous and professional customer service. Follow site-specific procedures and company policies.

Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Flexible with scheduling and willing to accept shifts as needed, including short-notice assignments. Available to work various shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends. Professional, approachable, and customer-service oriented.

Comfortable walking and standing for extended periods. Alert, attentive, and able to work independently. Important: This is a flexible, fill-in position intended to support staffing needs. Weekly hours are not guaranteed, and assignments will depend on employee absences, vacations, and operational requirements.
