FACILITIES SHIPPING AND RECEIVING ASSISTANT Division: Support Services Department: Facilities Experience: Entry-level Job Code: FWSSHIPRECAST Supervisor/Reports To: Jimmy Raines Start Date: 8/25/2026 Assist with shipping, receiving, and delivery of packages and freight on campus. Ideal for students with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
Process incoming and outgoing packages and freight – C, TW, P, CT Deliver packages to various campus departments and offices – C, TW, P, CT Update and maintain inventory records – C, P, CT, T Maintain confidentiality and customer service when interacting with campus community – C, TW, P Report problems or discrepancies to supervisor – C, P Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines – P, CT, TW Competencies/Skills: Communication (C), Teamwork (TW), Professionalism (P), Career & Self Development (CSD), Critical Thinking (CT), Community Transformation (CTR), Leadership (L), Technology (T) Preferred Skills: Word, Excel, attention to detail, customer service, written and verbal communication.
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (hours flexible based on student schedule). Work Conditions: Indoor/outdoor work; exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise. Physical Demands: Reaching/handling, stooping/kneeling, pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
