Based in Long Beach, CA, we specialize in port drayage and operate electric trucks throughout Southern California. We’re looking for a dependable CDL Class A Driver to join our team .

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a CDL Class A Port Drayage Driver, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting containers to and from the Ports while providing professional service to customers, terminals, and dispatch. Safely operate company trucks and transport containers to and from the Ports Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures Safely secure and transport loads Maintain accurate electronic logs (e-Logs) and required documentation Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and terminal personnel Complete pickups and deliveries safely and on schedule Maintain a clean driving record and properly care for company equipment Attend required safety meetings and training Perform other duties as assigned WHAT YOU NEED Valid Class A CDL Valid TWIC Card – Required Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience Ability to work a night shift schedule Clean driving record Hazmat endorsement – preferred Tanker endorsement – preferred Flatbed experience – preferred but not required BENEFITS Competitive Compensation Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Sick Time PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, push, and pull as needed Ability to safely perform duties associated with container transportation EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Hight Electric is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
