• The Production Roller at GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF DALLAS INC plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission by efficiently processing donated goods. This position contributes to the overall success of the not-for-profit charitable operations by ensuring that goods are prepared for sale in a timely and organized manner, ultimately helping to fund programs that benefit the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate rolling machines to process donated textiles and other materials for resale.
• Sort and categorize items according to established guidelines to ensure quality and consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Conduct quality checks on processed items to ensure they meet organizational standards.
• Assist in inventory management by accurately recording processed goods.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risk and ensure a safe workplace.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay updated on best practices and organizational policies.

Qualifications

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent Required Experience:
• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred
• Experience working with machinery or equipment is advantageous Required Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to operate and maintain production machinery safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members
• Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
